Chatham County continues to make progress on the construction of the Multi-Agency Public Safety Facility, a project designed to strengthen emergency response across the community.
The facility is being built to withstand Category 5 hurricane conditions, ensuring it can remain operational during the most severe storms. This level of durability will allow public safety teams to continue serving residents when they are needed most. Once complete, the building will house several critical services under one roof, including the Chatham Emergency Management Agency (CEMA), E-911, and other public safety departments.
The site is strategically located near the Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport and Gulfstream, placing key services closer to one of the County’s fastest-growing areas.
Chatham County Commission Chairman Chester Ellis recently visited the construction site to see the progress firsthand and highlight the importance of this investment in public safety. The Multi-Agency Public Safety Facility represents a major step forward in ensuring Chatham County remains prepared, resilient, and ready to respond to future challenges.
