Three Chatham County Police Department officers were honored by the Exchange Club of Savannah on Monday, March 30.
The Exchange Club of Savannah presents Officer of the Year, Detective of the Year, and Supervisor of the Year awards to Chatham County Police Department personnel each year. The Chatham County Police Department honorees are chosen by a vote of the sworn officers of the department.
This year’s honorees are:
Supervisor of the Year: Lieutenant Mark Cartwright
Lieutenant Mark Cartwright has been a law enforcement officer in Georgia since 2004. Lieutenant Cartwright joined the Chatham County Police Department in the first year of their patrols in 2018 and now serves as the A Watch Commander for both the West and East Chatham County precincts.
As a Watch Commander, Lieutenant Cartwright is responsible for all patrol officers on duty during the 12-hour shift and is called to supervise all major incidents that occur during that time. This is Lieutenant Cartwright’s third year in a row being chosen Supervisor of the Year by the sworn officers of the Chatham County Police Department, which speaks volumes about the respect his fellow officers have for him and the job he does every day.
Detective of the Year: Detective Corporal Keiana Robbins
Detective Corporal Keiana Robbins has been a member of the Chatham County Police Department for nearly eight years. She served as a patrol officer for 3 ½ years before moving to the Criminal Investigations Division. During the last four years as a detective, she has investigated various types of criminal activity.
Detective Corporal Robbins is a Certified Cryptocurrency Investigator and a member of the International Association of Financial Crimes Investigators. Her work includes a case where a suspect was recently arrested in a financial fraud crime that cost the victim nearly one million dollars.
Officer of the Year: Corporal Christian Lehmann
Corporal Christian Lehmann started his law enforcement career with the Riley County, Kansas Police Department, where he spent just shy of three years as a patrol officer. Corporal Lehmann joined the Chatham County Police Department in 2021 and has served as both a patrol officer and detective in his nearly five years with the department, and was promoted to the rank of Corporal in January of 2023.
Corporal Lehmann became a Field Training Officer in November 2022, responsible for mentoring, training, and evaluating recruits, transitioning them from academy training to independent patrol duties. Corporal Lehmann has trained numerous recruits, including six recruits in 2025 alone.
